Relational, Inclusive, and Affirming Telehealth Practice
About therapistI grew up in a blended household from an early age. My parents were divorced when I was four and my mom remarried by the time I was 6. We would later form a unit of eight children: 3 full-blooded siblings, 1 step-sister, and three half-sisters.
I had both youngest and eldest child syndrome depending on the environment. To my eldest siblings I was the “drama queen”, overly emotional, and favored. To my younger sisters I was their protector, their advocate, and someone they looked up to. It was my own lived experiences that led me to the helping profession.
Before I was a relationship therapist, I earned my degree in Music Therapy. The creative arts were what supported me emotionally throughout my life and the concept of helping through that lens was incredibly appealing.
I spent over seven years working full-time as a board-certified music therapist; five of those were at a hospital that provided inpatient and outpatient services.
I loved my work in community mental health. It was rewarding, exhausting, joyous, powerful, frustrating, and much more. It was my patients, and my own experiences in a blended family that showed me the true impact families and systems have on an individuals ability to function.
I started my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and never looked back. Today, I am incorporating my training in music therapy, which highlights the importance of somatic experiences in trauma and therapeutic work, and in systems work, to help individuals, couples, and families in my community become the most curious, self-aware, compassionate people they can be.

My Virtual Office
my lens as a therapistI believe…
✿Relationships make up who we are as individuals
✿To see real, lasting change, we have to look at the systems in our lives and their impact
✿The therapeutic relationship is the backbone of successful therapy
✿Therapy won’t work if you don’t let it
✿The key to progress is understanding one’s context, not content
✿Laughter, honesty, and authenticty are integral parts of the therapeutic work
“We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.”
